gvSIG-Fonsagua

Planning and design of water supply systems

gvSIG-Fonsagua implements, over a Geographic Information System, a methodology linked to the Comprehensive Water Resources Management Plan that Engineers without borders used by several countries in Central America.

It allows to make an inventory of data about socio-economic and technical realities of the study area. Moreover, It allows to make hydraulic supply networks modeling of new designs as extensions or replacements of existing systems.

The technologies used in the application are PostgreSQL-PostGIS to design and to support geospatial database; gvSIG like GIS desktop and EPANET, which allows hydraulic calculation of water systems.
